Extremely flexible single-component elastomeric sealant and spray for construction joint openings, curtain walls and large openings containing metallic penetrants, which cures to mastic suitable for dynamic movement areas and fire-rating. Metacaulk 1200 expands when exposed to heat, creating a refractory char that effectively seals and prevents the spread of flames, smoke, and toxic fumes. This product features a 3-year shelf life and excellent freeze-thaw stability. Its non-sag, flexible curing process forms an elastomeric seal, perfect for applications with dynamic movement. Ideal for versatile interior use, this water-based sealant requires no mixing or dilution and is paintable. It is protected against mold growth in both wet and dry stages with a combination of biocides. Safe and easy to use for most applications, including retrofit, it can be applied using a conventional caulking gun, bulk loading gun, troweled from a pail, or pumped directly from a pail. Additionally, it is compatible with FBC Systems.
